The AP/AR Specialist will maintain complete and accurate records, analyze information, assist with routine accounting duties, and provide prompt, courteous responses to inquiries from clients and vendors. The ideal candidate should also be a skilled researcher and possess strong communication and computer skills. This role is a fantastic opportunity for a professional looking to make their mark within a growing company.

 

Location: hybrid work from our headquarters located in the heart of downtown Boise

 

Specialist Responsibilities:

-Review and verify invoices and statements, determine correct accounts, and code transactions accurately in the accounting system

-Post accounts payable transactions to the general ledger and manage the vendor master file

-Responsible for billing clients, verifying transactions, monitoring/matching incoming payments, and spotting accounting discrepancies

-Process incoming payments by check, credit card, and electronic transfer

-Prepare and adjust journal entries as necessary

-Verify and post weekly credit card transactions

-Research issues to determine sources of discrepancies and make necessary corrections

-Assist the accounting department in daily, monthly, and annual activities, including generating financial reports, assisting with audits, and resolving discrepancies

-Speak with vendors and suppliers to ensure charges are accurate and that payments are received in a timely manner

-Communicate with clients to discuss account statuses, charges, or discrepancies

-Participate in ongoing education opportunities to learn about industry trends and developments, current financial legislation, and company policies and procedures

Specialist Requirements:

-Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related experience

-Understanding of accounting principles (GAAP) and current financial legislation

-2+ years of accounting/finance experience

-Exceptional time management, communication, and problem-solving skills

-Strong working knowledge of Excel and Accounting Information Systems

-Organized and detail oriented

-Ability to accurately and efficiently analyze data
