Research Privacy Policy

EETech Media (“we,” “us,” or “our”) shares your concerns about maintaining the integrity and privacy of personal information collected on the internet. We are committed to protecting your privacy, and this privacy policy (“Policy”) is intended to describe our information collection and dissemination practices in connection with the EETech family of websites or any website or service that links to or refers to this Policy (collectively, the “Sites”).

I. OUR COMMITMENT TO RESEARCH PARTICIPANTS
EETech Media will observe the confidentiality of all participants in our research studies. Participant information will only be used for legitimate research purposes.
Participant information collected in our database is used solely by employees of EETech Media for targeting people for participation in research studies. Our database information is never sold or given to outside parties.
Information gathered for individual research studies is used only to determine whether a participant qualifies for that particular study.
EETech Media does not provide the names or emails of participants to sponsors of research studies without the permission of the participant. This information may be provided only for legitimate research purposes.
EETech Media may provide participant contact information for limited studies strictly for contact purposes, if elected by the participant.
II. HOW WE OBTAIN YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION
We may collect the following kinds of information when you use the Sites or participate in a research study:
Information you provide directly to us. For certain activities, such as when you register, participate in a survey, or contact us directly, we may collect some or all of the following types of information:
- Contact information, such as your full name, email address, mobile phone number, and location;
- Username and password; and
- Any other information you choose to provide to us.
We may combine such information with information we may already have about you.
Information we collect automatically. We may collect certain information automatically when you use our Sites, such as your Internet protocol (IP) address, device identifiers, browser type, operating system, the date and time of your visit. We may also collect certain location information when you use our Sites, such as your computer’s IP address.
III. HOW WE USE YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION
We generally use the information we collect online to:
- Contact you, including for paying out incentive purposes;
- Fulfill your requests for information;
- Analyze the use of the Sites and user data to understand and improve the Sites;
- For any other purposes disclosed to you at the time we collect your information or pursuant to your consent.
Quantitative Studies:
We collect Personal Identifying Information (PII) such as name and email address. This information is supplied by you, the “participant” only if you wish to enter the drawing for incentive. Your PII is not shared with any 3rd party, it is not sold, and it is not used for any type of marketing purposes, unless consented to. We sometimes share the aggregated demographic information in these surveys with our advertisers and partners. Additionally, we do not store the information in our personal database. It solely lives in our survey management platform.
Qualitative Studies:
We collect Personal Identifying Information (PII) such as name and email address. This information is supplied by you, the “participant”, only if you consent to be contacted for additional studies. You may be required to sign additional consent documentation such as, but not limited to, NDAs and permission to be audio or video recorded. Your PII may be shared with a 3rd party and will only be used for the purposes of being contacted to conduct agreed upon studies. It will not be used for marketing purposes, it will not besold to additional 3rd parties, and you may opt out at any time by contacting us using the contact information below.
Consent to Audio and Video Recordings:
In the event that the participant has consented to being contacted for additional interviews, each party hereto consents to the monitoring or recording, at any time and from time to time, by the other party of any and all communications between officers or employees of the parties. The participant will also be verbally notified before any recordings take place. Additional consent may be required during active recordings.
IV. HOW LONG WE KEEP YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION
We will retain your personal information for as long as is necessary to fulfill the purpose for which we obtained your personal information and any other permitted purposes permitted by law, and in compliance with our data retention policies. For example, we will retain and use your personal information to the extent necessary to comply with our legal obligations (for example, if we are required to retain your data to comply with applicable laws), resolve disputes, and enforce our legal agreements and policies.
V. SHARING OF PERSONAL INFORMATION WITH THIRD PARTIES
We are committed to maintaining your trust, and we want you to understand when and with whom we may share the information we collect. Your personal identifying information is not shared with any 3rd party, it is not sold, and it is not used for any type of marketing purposes, unless consented to.
- Authorized third-party vendors and service providers. We may share the aggregated demographic information in these surveys with our advertisers and partners. We do not share your personal information.
- Business transfers. We may share your information in connection with a substantial corporate transaction, such as the sale of a website, a merger, consolidation, asset sale, or in the unlikely event of bankruptcy.
- Legal purposes. We may disclose information to respond to subpoenas, court orders, legal process, law enforcement requests, legal claims or government inquiries, and to protect and defend the rights, interests, health, safety, and security of Pew Research Center, our affiliates, users, or the public.
- With your consent or at your direction. We may share information for any other purposes disclosed to you at the time we collect the information or pursuant to your consent or direction.
If you access third-party services, such as Facebook, Google, or Twitter, through the Sites to login to the Sites or to share information about your experience on the Sites with others, these third-party services may be able to collect information about you, including information about your activity on the Sites, and they may notify your connections on the third-party services about your use of the Sites, in accordance with their own privacy policies.
VI. SECURITY
We use reasonable measures to help protect information from loss, theft, misuse and unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration and destruction. You should understand that no data storage system or transmission of data over the Internet or any other public network can be guaranteed to be 100 percent secure. Please note that information collected by third parties may not have the same security protections as information you submit to us, and we are not responsible for protecting the security of such information.
VII. YOUR CHOICES
You may opt out of our email newsletters by clicking the “unsubscribe” at the bottom of each newsletter and following the subsequent instructions. You may also opt out of all communications from EETech by contacting us using the contact information below.
You may update the personal information that you provide directly to us at any time. If you would like to review, correct, update or delete personal information that you have provided to us or that we have collected automatically or from other sources, you may contact us as indicated in the Contact Information section. We will respond to your request as required by applicable laws.
Before processing your request, we may need to verify your identity, in which case we may request additional information from you to the email address or phone number associated with your account.
We will use reasonable efforts to respond to your request promptly. Should we need to refuse your request, we will explain to you the reasons for this.

California residents are entitled once a year, free of charge, to request and obtain certain information regarding our disclosure, if any, of certain categories of personal information to third parties for their direct marketing purposes in the preceding calendar year. We do not share personal information with third parties for their own direct marketing purposes.
VIII. INTERNATIONAL USERS
We maintain information in the United States of America and in accordance with the laws of the United States, which may not provide the same level of protection as the laws in your jurisdiction. By using the Sites and providing us with information, you understand and agree that your information may be transferred to and stored on servers located outside your resident jurisdiction and, to the extent you are a resident of a country other than the United States, that you consent to the transfer of such data to the United States for processing by us in accordance with this Privacy Policy.
IX. CHANGES TO THE PRIVACY POLICY
We may update this Policy from time to time. When we update the Policy, we will revise the “Effective Date” date above and post the new Privacy Policy. We recommend that you review the Privacy Policy each time you visit the Sites to stay informed of our privacy practices.
