Human Resources Manager

EETech is seeking a Human Resources Manager. This individual will be a department of one responsible for all the daily functions of Human Resources activities within the company. Responsibilities include managing best practices; developing and monitoring employee policies, procedures; ensuring compliance with relevant federal, state, and local employment laws; employee relations; compensation administration; administering and coordinating employee benefits; and maintaining employee records. This person will report to the CEO.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Manage and coordinates all tasks associated with HR best practices, new employee onboarding, orientation, promotions, and terminations
  • Develop and update company personnel policies and procedures as needed
  • Implement new and revised policies, assist managers and employees in interpreting company policies and procedures
  • Administer employee benefits programs to ensure timely and accurate enrollments, partner with vendors to manage annual open enrollments 
  • Resolves benefit questions/issues by coordinating with vendors and employees as needed
  • Maintain personnel files including salary and benefits data, performance and disciplinary action documents, and other documentation in accordance with federal, state, and local employment laws
  • Consult with managers and employees to resolve employee relations issues
  • Monitor worker’s compensation claims, unemployment claims and coordinate correspondence as appropriate
  • Conducts periodic employee surveys, and market research to determine competitive employment package
  • Complete, file, and maintain annual reports as legally required
  • Partner with Talent Acquisition Manager on recruiting and staffing needs
  • Other duties and projects as assigned

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Working knowledge of Human Resources principles and practices
  • Knowledge of federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations
  • Knowledge of company policies and procedures
  • Knowledge of management principles and practices
  • Proven ability to effectively communicate and work with all levels of employees in a professional and courteous manner
  • Ability to handle sensitive situations in a confidential and professional manner
  • Ability to organize and prioritize multiple work activities
  • Ability to pay close attention to detail
  • Ability to make sound decisions using the information at hand

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or business administration
  • 3-5 years of experience working in Human Resources 
  • PHR/SPHR certification desired
